First you have to step back from your situation and look at it from a birds eye view. Some things to consider are below....

Does anyone need you at home on the regular currently?

Are you willing to be away from home for 3 weeks at a time?
(Because for the first job, it's a possibility)

Do you know how much truckers make?

Is it enough to justify you being a truck driver?

If your in a relationship, is it solid?
(If there are trust issues, trucking ruin it)

Are you in good health?

Are you OK will living in a confined space?
(If you plan on being over the road)

Ok So Let's move on assuming you taken a bird's eye look at your situation.

If you're unemployed see if your local workforce has a truck driver training program. If so they will likely pay for getting your CDL!

If you are employed. Search google in your area and see if truck driver training is offered at your local community college.

If not or the next class is longer away than you want to wait, see if there is a CDL school or truck driver training school near you.

If not, or you don't want to pay for CDL school out your pocket, look into free or company sponsored truck driver training.
