Truckers tend to hate brokers. I don't. I think brokers play an important role in the trucking industry. However their role could be positive or negative and help truckers or hurt them!
That is the reason I find it necessary to review and share experiences with brokers so that other truckers and owner operators know what they might end up experiencing OR will be able to avoid.
The most common issues that I have experienced and have heard from other truckers about is weight discrepancy. This is something that needs to highlighted and pointed out because it's behavior that needs to stop.
The other most common, even more common actually is fake appointment times. (Which i understand why it's done but I still don't agree with it. And drivers if you don't know why they do this click here)
When we call to get information about a load, the information should be accurate so that when we decide if we want to haul it and negotiate a rate, it's based on factual and reliable information.
It's only fair. (Sure.... life's not fair lol...well. I'll do what I can!)
There shouldn't be a double standard. Accurate information should be shared between broker and carrier so both side know if they can work together and if so under what conditions.
So dear brokers, being upfront and genuine about the loads is good. Offering a fair rate is good. Correcting information in your system is good.
It will help build a great reputation so that carriers are inclined to haul your freight. In this way you can be an asset.
To be deceitful and misleading you grow a negative reputation and feel like a parasite to truckers which is why so many of them frown and curse you when they hear your name.
Have you had an experience with a broker either good or bad?
I will post my experience with brokers below. Feel free to comment if you've had a similar or different experience that you would like to share.
If you've arrive to make a comment about a broker that isn't already been reviewed than you can create your own submission to review them.

Just make sure if you're hauling a heavy load, you get the verified weight from the shipper before letting them load.
