I'm sorry if I'm posting this twice. I thought I already posted this, but it seems to have not gone through. Anyway, I went to a trucking school and got my CDL with all endorsements. However, most trucking companies won't hire me due to the wreck I had last year.
The wreck in question was a rear-end collision that was my fault. I understand that this has to do with the insurance companies not wanting to insure a trucker with this type of wreck on his record. I was told recently, however, by a recruiter that I could probably find a company that would hire me if I did enough searching.
My question is this: Was this recruiter just pulling my leg? Am I s.o.l. when it comes to finding an over the road trucking job until the wreck goes off my record in a year and a half?
Or is this not a common policy, and might I find a job if I keep searching for the right company?
Comments for Will trucking comapnies hire someone with a 1y.o. wreck (rear-end collision) on their MVR?
