will i get fired for catching a charge?

I've been working for this trucking company for 3+ years and i recently caught a misdemeanor charge for dv and assault and had to spend the weekend in jail for nothing. i never been to jail in my life so this is my 1st offense and i am worried that i will lose my job and i didn't get convicted yet will they fire me?

Allen, there is no way of knowing that. Companies handle these things differently. Also, I don't know what dv is but I am assuming it is for Domestic Violence.

Future reference, when posting here or anywhere don't assume that people will know what you mean with abbreviations because it may cause you do get a response to something you didn't ask.(obviously, depending on question asked and abbreviation used)

I know it is a habit that is common these days.
