Vehicles tha drive in front of wide loads

There are several trucks out there that you always see with a wide load or big load that have a smaller truck that drives in front of or that follow the big rig.
I'm looking for that type of job. But I've no clue what to search for or what the company of places like that may be.
My question is what are those drivers called and are there places in or around Beaumont Texas that hire for that?
