We found out we were pregnant about two months before he went on the road for the first time with a new company.
Just about everything was new to me. This was my first child and being physically alone was getting the best of me. I even went as far as spending more time back at my moms house.
After he had gotten his own truck we decided that since I was in my second trimester of my pregnancy that it was a good idea for me to go on the road with him.
It was nice to finally cuddle with my hubby every night like we were used to but I soon became home sick. Being pregnant living the life of a trucker was miserable at times.
My emotions were all over the place and I couldn't help but get in his way (A LOT). Not to mention me never being pregnant before and not knowing the ropes at all let alone how to do it on a constantly moving truck.
After a few weeks I was back at home but things didn't really get any easier for me. I started to feel less and less like his wife as he missed my pregnancy milestones one after the other.
Being a first time mom there were a lot of things that I had to do alone that most take for granted. Like going to doctor appointments or feeling the first few kicks of the life you created together.
I can say it never really got easier being pregnant and feeling alone but we never gave up trying to adjust to our new lifestyle.
