Trucking Associations and Organizations
Trucking associations as with many other organizations of with large numbers of members provide some benefits to its members (and even non members in some cases) in that they can unite to stand behind certain needed changes,(cause, movements, efforts, etc. They can organize to speak as one (in theory)to show contempt for other changes that its member don't want. Laws, Standards, Practices, etc.
There also trucking organizations or associations that target certain causes or situations to address a need of individuals, families, groups, countries, etc. Such as Trucker Buddy
Also being a member of an organization sometimes means that you can participate in group rates for things such as insurance and heath care, phone plans, etc. There are hundreds if not more of different types of organizations that a trucker can join hands with.
Here are some main associations and organizations that could be useful to you. This list will grow as time goes on.

If you have decided that you are ready for the road, find trucking jobs with trucking companies that drivers give you positive feedback on.
Remember no trucking company will be perfect. If all the drivers you talk to only have negative things to say....that's telling you something.
Trucking Jobs
Some trucking companies get it and some don't. You want a trucking job at a company that see's the driver as a person, not a robot or part of the truck. For new drivers, that is a little harder.
Once you get that year of experience. You have more options. Make sure you keep your license, safety record and work history in as best order as possible. Run legal and stay alert!
