trainer drove over the limit weight truck

my trainer picked up a load while I was sleeping. After a few hours he turned the wheel over to me. I stopped at the weigh station and got ticketed for over the limit weight on the truck. Whose fault is it?

Were you aware at the time of the signing that the load might be overweight? Did you ever see the bill of lading before you were weighed at the scales. I'm no lawyer, but if this guy pulled a "fast one" on you, he owes you an apology and the $$$ to pay for your ticket.
