traffic ticket for failure to provide operator license

I was stopped by a cop and asked to provide driver's license. I was shocked to find out myself it accidentally was left at home in my other jacket.
The cop issued $175 dollars ticket for "fail to provide operator license" with this fee and no corrections
Can I fight it? Or there is no way, but just to pay it.
I was working 2 nights without sleep, no wonder.....
