seat belt ticket in New Mexico as passenger with texas class a cdl

Me and our oilfield crew just got pulled over for speeding in New Mexico in a dodge pickup. 3 of us including myself got no seat belt tickets while in the back seat....my question is if this will affect our class a cdl's in any way

Ticketed in NM with TX cdl NEW

I think you should call Tx Department of Motor Vehicle and find out what will happen with your CDL.

In NM a seat belt ticket can be 2 points on your license in addition to a $25 fine. Don't know how that would play out with TX CDL.

As far as getting hired with a company, it's a ticket. So it's something on your record but obviously not as bad as speeding, wreckless, etc.

A cdl is a cdl. its just like a cop; you still a cop even thou you're off duty. If you looking for work the ticket will come out and it will not say how you got it so there for you will have to explain to the company how you got the ticket and they may not care but some times they do.
