im goint to pick up a truck an trailer in eastern washington an need to know if i put a (not for hire) sign on the truck an trailer will i still have to stop at the scales truck has sat (not worked for 10 years) an im trying to get it back to the west side of washington state thanks curt

How to legally move a big truck you buy. Intransit permits.

You should get an "in transit permit" BEFORE you move it. Shouldn't cost much and is good for usually 72 hours. That way, you're legal and you will have to stop at the scales. Jimmy
