Me Time When He is Gone

My husband is brand new at being a trucker & I couldn't wait to get him out of the house! I am in heaven when he's gone & in hell when he comes home & the house is a lot neater when he's gone!

When he's home my place looks like a tornado blew stuff around. He's such a slob. So is it hard for me being a trucker's wife - no but hell no!

I have a friend that also wants her husband to become a trucker so quest can get her hemorrhoid husband out of the house! All they think about is sex all the time! I would prefer reading a good book or watching a good movie alone than spending it with my husband at bedtime!

That is the only time men seem to pay attention to you is when they want to get laid & after they get laid you are forgotten, ignored & rejected!

Good for you who foolishly does this! My mother is constantly on my hubby's back & she has already said to me that I have never had to pick up after your father & my mother is glad that my father never became a trucker "cause my father never wanted to be titled a slob! Have a nice day!

Those women know nothing of love. And I agree they are chicken to post anonymously. I've known people like them before and thats why I don't associate with them anymore. My house looks like a tornado hit it after my husband leaves out and I'm grateful it does. Yeah my husband is messy but I am so happy when he comes home. He is usually out for 6 weeks at a time and I miss him every day he is gone. I enjoy time to myself, but I'd rather have hubby. I am thankful he sacrifices so much to provide for us. I hope I honor him as well as he honors me. I may get frustrated cleaning up after him but I wouldnt have it any other way.

To Brenda - I am the best friend to the one that you commented that her comment made you sick to your stomach well she is not trash! I have known her for 10 years when both of our Fathers who are retired U.S Marines that are highly decorated men but you do not know her husband, I do & she did no wrong to make him the way he is! I work in a university where I am also a med student & I have had ladies tell me they are widows & I have told them sorry to hear that & they said don't be, the only thing they missed was their husband's income, some told me they have stumped & spat on the grave & I said OMG that is no way to talk about the dead & I've been told sweetheart don't say that till you've walked a mile in our shoes & you said being a trucker's wife is hard, not as hard as a child or wife dealing with deployments that lasted over a year like 3 deployments & my friend just lost both parents in a car accident & & my friend was venting her anger, & you say marriage is a sacred bond ( you must be religious or look at your hubby through rose colored glasses or going thru the honeymoon stage - honeymoons do end) & my friend has tried to talk to her hubby & it's 1 sided, it's all about him, for now I'm glad I'm single concentrating on my studies & nor I nor my friend will enter this site again because nor I or my friend care what you think lof her or what others have to say so if her comment is still making you sick to your stomach then go grab that emesis basin! As a trucker's wife, this comment made me sick to my stomach. I believe people have a right to their opinion and should be allowed to say what they want. EXCEPTION to this is someone that trashes their spouse that is doing a job that is really hard on a person's mind. Marriage is a sacred bond and you should never talk that way about your spouse. If you are so unhappy then you should find a way to make your relationship better not go to a website and degrade. Life as a trucker's wife is hard. Most of the time you are having to do more then you thought you were signing up for but when you agreed to the marriage you took all faults with it. Talk to your husband and get help because this way of talking make you sound like trash and no women should be happy with people thinking that of them.

Excuse me for calling out the obvious but the only posts from a large amount of females on this site are from people who are actually heat broken over the fact their better half is gone. I apologize for ruffling feathers as obviously I did. I have been giving advice on this website for the past 2 years atleast and this is the first time i've ran into trouble. Maybe I went beyond my knowledge of this particular situation but as you have well explained I was using my rights to freedom of speech. Maybe i'm full of it, maybe i'm not, but the truth of the matter is this is no way to talk about your marriage. If the guy is a idiot then what does that make you? I'm done with this and I will NEVER post again about relationship stuff. This particular story struck a nerve and I expressed my feelings. Anyone has questions about trucking I am more than willing to answer but this is crazy. I've tucked my tail on this one and it's not me to do that. Enjoy

I may have used my words a little loosely by saying grieving but most women on here are sad that their trucker is gone a month at a time, not celebrating it. And as far as freedom of speech i'm no bigger fan of it. You have really got to be kidding me that i'm the one with the same freedom of speech and getting wrath for it. This woman had slandered her husband and that's ok? I guess so, maybe I have a different marriage then most. When i'm gone my wife wants nothing more then me to be home. To NickV u don't know me so don't judge me but my harsh posting about my hub came from him - he made me this way & for your info he chose this job move after his last supervisor fired him because of hub's personality & his co-workers couldn't stand him so I prefer my Nook & iPad over him anyday & we've been in supermarkets & I have had cashiers ask me what his problem was because he would get pissed off at them but you are a man so you are probably a woman hater & I don't need support while he is away & don't need another wife to give me emotional support!

I feel if you like a lot of "me time" that's okay....I love it myself...and it is true that most truck drivers are slobs...they get use to living in clutter because there is no one there to clean up after them, so they just plainly get use to it....and that's okay too...to each his own right?

Since I like basically living by myself and he likes living like a slob, and being a truck driver, who am I to complain, as long as he doesn't have anything to say about how I like to live, I don't need to tell him he is a slob...its on an even scale here, and that's what makes it work...

If I get mad at him and I put him on blast I do it, and when he gets mad and puts me on blast, he does it....who am I to question the balance, this is what married couples do....it is not all peaches and cream in heaven, this marriage thing ya know...

If you want to blast someone on this site feel free that is what this site is all about.... have people forgotten freedom of speech is here to stay in America....if you like the way you live then to be smart is to let others live the way they want...

Sounds to me you have a highly toxic marriage and you should start there. I could only hope your husband reads this and you feel horrible about it. If your that unhappy with your husband then you should leave him cause blasting him on a website not only is a chicken move but shows a lot about your character.
