I have been driving trucks for 8 years now. Honestly it is the only job I have found and held onto in my adult life that I really enjoyed and miss dearly.
Last year I had my first accident. It was a rear end accident where a car cut off another tractor trailer which cut me off and I ended up rear ending him.
There were no injuries aside from my own and no fatalities.
It's been a year and 4 months ago now and no one will give me a chance because I was let go from the previous company, which had a zero tolerance for accidents. I have applied to every company I have come across who tell me long as it's been over a year it's okay but once they send it to safety it's a no go.
I am willing to relocate and go at least a month without home time. Is there really any hope of getting back on a truck or should I just face it and try at something else?
Is there any company out there who will hire with a rear end accident on the record?
