Is making right and left hand turns with doubles that same

by Vince
(Reno, NV)

I will be doing a drive test tomorrow. I have my NT endorsements and will be testing with double dirt haulers. Roughly about 100FT.

When driving in town is the turning basically the same as with a 53FT trailer? Example, pulling out to the second lane and button turning (right). Will the second trailer follow the same way?

making turns pulling doubles NEW
by: Hervy

Vince actually doubles track even better than a 53ft trailer.

So if you have experience driving a 53ft trailer around town without running over curb or cars, you will do fine with the doubles as far as tracking is concerned.

When I first started driving we used to pull doubles from NJ to California a lot. Not too bad. We had a lot of drop and hook.

Happy trucking
