someone needs to change this fn rule!!
by: Anonymous

What do they expect the drivers to do while sleeping in the bed area, suffocate! Or freeze? This is lame, and I think someone should have this rule abolished!!!

If you have an animal in the truck with you this rule does not apply in any state!! So now we are less than an animal!! for God's sake what is going on here!!???

Some States Yes
by: Longhauler69

Some States it is illegal to idle a diesel operated vehicle for more than 5 minutes if it is not being used for PTO Use. or other operational uses.

Most Long Haul trucks are equipped with Webasto bunk heaters and if yours does not have one you can buy 12 volt heaters/fans that are quite affordable at truck stops

Idling the truck
by: Hervy

There are places that have laws and ordinances about idling the truck for more than a certain amount of time.

There are also some companies who are funny about idling the truck.
