Is 66 years old too late to become a truck driver?

I'm 65YO now. I want to attend CDL school June of 2015.

My desire is OTR. Am I too old to start this?

Will decent companies hire me, or am I just wasting my time with this?

I have a perfect driving record for 15+ years, and I am
able to drive 600+ miles a day.
Thanks

Hi, I'd like to hear from a trucking company or someone either that managed or hired truckers?
I'm 66, type one diabetic, and have had a number of speeding tickets over my lifetime nothing recent.
I assume that getting hired is I were to get a CDL is only a remote possibility if not an impossible dream ?

What do you think? Be a blunt if you need to be :)
