Independent contractor trucker refuses load

If I'm leasing a truck as an independent contractor and I refuse a load and drive the truck home can I get in trouble

Doesnt seem like it. Depends on how your contract is written though.

Thats what matters most.

Seems like if you refuse and burn you bought fuel for truck you're paying lease on that u could do that with no legal problems.

Sounds like you and company or dispatch not getting along or communicating well though which is not a healthy relationship for making money.
