In a general summary, I hate my husband being a trucker. It's long days and even longer nights without him around. We have two children together, a son who is 6, and a daughter who is 4. Now our boy, we call him biggin, he's the man of the house. He missed his daddy somthing horrible throughout the week, but he knows why daddy goes. Now our daughter, If you ask her "Are you daddys princess or daddys angel?" shell say, "Im daddys angel". She calls daddy on her play cell phones all day long saying how much she misses him. She knows why daddy goes. And myself, I miss him every second hes gone, always calling asking,"Where you at now?", "Did you get loaded?", "Did you get unloaded?". I know why he goes too.
Over the years we have been able to put a nice truck and car in the driveway, fully paid off. Buy the children things such as four wheelers, and power wheels, and also keep them in a nice home with a nice piece of property to play on. I know a lot of these things would not of been possible without him driving, and making the money he does.
Dont get me wrong, It's not bliss. Ive had countless phone calls where hes screaming at me because of dispatch, but we understand eachother, and I understand him. He makes our world go around, and we love him for that and love him very much. But the lifestyle, If i could trade it I would.
