Gas saving of truck with skirting vs one without

If you have identical truck, same motor truck specs, one has skirting one doesn't how big of a difference will mpg be

Skirting vs no skirting

I'm talking about truck skirting not trailer, looking at buying freightliner cascadia 2013 with DD 15 but very concerned with fuel mileage

minimal fuel savings

the fuel savings is minimal, so a fleet of 1000 or more trailers times the cost to install is what ruck companies look at. For a single O/O it's not worth it.I t would take forever to get his $$$back. Jimmy

For the best answer you probably should contact Freightliner and ask. If they don't know try a company that does skirting on trailers. Maybe they have done a comparison on Freightliners since they are so popular.

You will get the most saving though if the trailer is also fitted with skirt and a tail.
