Do i need a GED to drive an 18 wheeler

I am asking if i need a GED to drive truck. i have a friend that keeps on telling me that i Need a GED. I asked around about have hared that i do not need one. But i want to ask a trucker

Anthony, you don't have to have a GED to get a CDL but most trucking companies minimum requirement will be to have a CDL.

Especially when it comes to getting hired by some of the better trucking companies, they will be more selective.

Go ahead and get it if you can man. It's going to serve you well beyond a trucking job anyway.
