CRST Schooling and working for them. But i have over a year old misdemeanor

Hello,

wasnt sure on this but my best friend and I are looking into CRST Trucking.

They require hazmat and a background check. My worry is about 1 1/2 years ago i worked for wal mart and took money from them (not proud of it was trying to find a way to take care of my family and made a very dumb choice)

Anyways i did 1 year of probation on the ARD program. I finished probation on January and I am hoping to get into trucking so I can take care of my wife, newborn, and 2 children.

Should I be fine or probably be told to screw off and find my own way back home?

Getting hired with a criminal charge

Chris,

Hopefully trucking companies will consider your new view on life and the maturity that has taken place.

The only way to be sure of how trucking companies feel about your criminal record is to call them and ask if they would hire you with those charges on there.

You don't have to give them your name. Just call and ask. That way you don't have to wonder if you have been given accurate information. you know first hand how they feel.
