Boyfriend isn't replying to texts

I've been dating a trucker for a few months now and its been quite the adjustment.
Recently (since Saturday) he hasn't been replying to my texts. He has also been really sick too. After not hearing from him all day, I finally got a hold of him and we talked on the phone for 2 hours last night (Sunday).
He usually sends me a text once he gets to his destination and he usually sends me a text once he gets up, but lately he hasn't been sending anything.
I'm just wondering why he isn't responding. Is it because he's been sick or been busy?
