Rate Pay

I don't really understand the question.

However, I will say this....

Often we will give people the benefit of doubt.
We will assume they will do right by us or treat us fairly. Maybe even handle a situation like we would.

Unfortunately there are people out here that will take advantage. Some of those people are bosses.

If you are doing a job that is different than your normal job and you want to get paid more for it and it's a new situation for which there is no pre established guidelines or PAY.....

Consider discussing in advance the compensation.

If you do decide to go ahead and complete the task or work on the job to keep the flow of the day going smoothly or because you don't want to be confrontational don't allow it to continue beyond that event.

Bring it to the person's attention that the next time you expect to be paid at a different rate.

Seems more than fair to me.

Once you have a history of doing more than you're paid for, then you have legitimate grounds/foundation to ask for more pay.

If they are simply trying to squeeze more work out of you for the same pay on a consistent basis it's probably not someone you want to work for.
