A plea for help in a highway death in Missouri on Sept 13 2010 10:30pm

On Sept 13 2010 around 10:30 pm my 34 year old aunt fell from a overpass in Holts Summit Missouri on highway 54. She was hit by a 18 wheeler.

I know he thought it was a deer but with what happened to her body I can only assume that when he pulled over at the next stop he would of looked for damages. I assume that there would of been hair blood and maybe a another body part.

All we know is that it was gray and had a box trailer not refrigerated. it was heading south well it was heading toward the lake of the Ozarks. I just want to know if he would of known he hit a person. Janelle had 3 kids and was a good person so if any one can help I would be very thankful

Sorry to hear about your aunt. As a truck.driver my self iv hit things in the road way not seeing it was there now in that picture the road looks wet if it was raining most of it if not all of it would have wash away and I'm not trying to be disrespectful in any way to you or your aunt it is sometimes hard for us to see things at night times the driver may have thought it was a pot hole and didn't think any thing about it I hope you find out who it was I do wish you the best of luck and again sorry to hear about ur aunt

Sorry to hear about your Aunt. It's very sad. How in the world did your Aunt fall if you don't mind me asking.

I don't know how the guy could have though it was a deer unless she feel after the cab in between the truck and trailer, in which case it is very possible he didn't see any evidence of anything happening. Hard to say about all that.

would just be speculation. but I personally think if she fell at just the right time, it could have not left the evidence to alert him.

But it does seem that someone should have seen more.
