20 yr. wife of a trucker......

Been a truckers wife for 20yrs.,doesn't get any easier.You just have to be tough & pull up your boot straps.Hubby is usually home some weekends to get clean clothes,sleep in his own bed,& get a home cooked meal.
Most of the time he only home for a 36hr re-start & gone! Most companies think you don't need to have a home life or a wife,but they sure go home every night.Best advice as I can give new trucker wives try to stay busy.
Try not to let your mind wonder about he might be doing(that's hard).All our children are grown & gone elsewhere only thing I have is 2 cats & a part-time job which helps.
