What to bring with me to Trucking School

by James
(St. Petersburg, Florida)

I am starting trucking school with CRST and am unsure of what to bring with me. I have a rolling duffel bag that I was going to fill with my stuff. I imagine that I should keep the luggage to a minimum. I don't want to look like an idiot on my first day! Any advice? Thanks!

what to pack
by: jimmy

If you're just going to school and will not be on the road, you just need to pack like you're on vacation. when you head out on the road, you'll need clothing, extra shoes, warm jackets, gloves(work) and a bedroll of sorts.
(sleeping bag, pillow)

You have to allow for your travel to the school. will it be your car or greyhound bus or airplane. will you go from school directly to a truck or can you go home and grab more stuff?

ASK QUESTIONS. in this business, take everything with a grain of salt. always expect the unexpected.....jimmy

what to bring
by: Anonymous

Usually they send you a list of things to take.

Of course you dont want to over pack

Here is what i suggest.

sleeping bag & pillow.
clothing and boots
personal hygiene-dont forget your own towel for the road
if you read, perhaps a few books to give you something to do.
