How to make my marriage survive being married to adie-hard trucker.

WE FIGHT ALL THE TIME,AND WE'VE ONLY BEEN MARRIED A YEAR THIS SATURDAY.

I FEEL BECAUSE HE'S BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR 22 YEARS HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO REALLY FORM BONDS. HE OF COURSE DENIES THIS. RIGHT NOW WE ARE FIGHTING BECAUSE I CALLED HIS WORK LAST WEEK AND STARTED A MESS OF TROUBLE.

FOR MY OWN SELFISH REASONS I GOT HIM FIRED. AS OF YESTERDAY ANYWAY HE SAID I DID. I JUST FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE AFTER BEING THERE 22 YEARS THEY WOULD CAN HIM OVER A PHONE CALL. ALSO HE WORKS OUT OF N.Y AND THEY HAVE A LOT OF LABOR LAWS THAT PROTECT PEOPLE FROM BEING FIRED FOR NO REASON.

ANYWAY TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT HE ISN'T TALKING TO ME AND LEFT ME BROKE CAUSE HE CONTROLS ALL THE MONEY.

CAN SOME OF YOU FINE LADIES GIVE ME SOME ADVICE BEFORE I GO OUT OF MY MIND! OH I FORGOT TO MENTION THEY FIRED HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF A JOB HE WAS DELIVERING IN PORTLAND. WOULD THEY OR COULD THEY DO THIS?

Im a new trucker wife

Me and my husband been married for 4 months and yes we get into arguements because he is stressed out. But I knew he was a trucker when I got with him he has been doing it 21 years. I love him and me and the girls misses him. But I trust him when he is out there and I know he loves me and the girls but he is out there making a living for us and doing what he loves. So if you can not trust your husband while he is out there then you should not be a truckers wife because it takes a strong woman to be one.

I have been a truckers wife for 21yrs. No matter what job a man has it is hard in the first years of marriage. This is the time to find out who you both really are. The dating stage you are not yourself, then you get married & become the person you are to become. You can change down the road, but not until you realize you are not the person you want to be. No matter the job your marriage will fail if you both can't get it together!! It's your fault as much as it is his!! Both of you need to get help NOW if you want to make it!! GL!!

I totally agree with Bev on this one. If he had been driving a truck for 22 years, then there is no way that you could not have known what it would be like. This should have been takin into account before the relationship even got serious, before vows where in place. Did you think once you got married that he would change into mr. perfect to fit your schedule, wants, and needs? If you could not except him for who he was and is than you definately shouldn't have gotten married to begin with. Over the last four years of being with my trucker, I have NEVER called his dispatcher/boss ect. I feel that his work is his work and not my place to be. I would love to know exactly however what you said to his employer that caused him to get fired. In my knowledge it would have to be some major drama to get him fired imediately. I do not find any reason for him not to be mad at you over this situation. Your actions could result in him never being able to work for a trucking company again if this information goes into record and reported to any prospective employers that he might try to get on with in the future. I feel that you were in deed being childish and selfish in your actions to do this to the man that you set there and claim to have loved. I feel that his actions were completely understandable. Personally, if it had been me in his shoes, I would have done more than just cut you off and left.

I'm not a lady and i think you need to grow up after all you knew what he did for a living b-4 you got married.and yes they can fire him anywhere an place they wish.
