The CVSA 72-hour inspection is June 5-7 and will be focused on hours of service (HOS) compliance due.

According to Robert Petrancostra as reported at Fleetowner,

about 30% of all inspections are due to lights

about 11% of all violations are related to tires, half due to tread depth.

about 25% of all inspected are triggered by a suspected moving violation. (Running a light, weaving, tailgating, speeding, etc)

He says to be sure what type of inspection you are being pulled over for. Violations outside of the scope of that type of inspection should not go against your BASIC.
