Man, I just wanted to say thanks for taking so much of your personal time to build a site thats so in depth and informative,so thanks!Ive been thinking about driving for years. Back in 2000 I was looking into going to schneider national, but I just didnt have enough info on trucking to know if it was for me.

Thanks to this site I now have an idea about dealing with being away from home,family,friends,how to stay healthy on the road, how potental dispatch will probably treat me as a new driver and to just stick it out and it can be a rewarding job. I guess my point is,im ready thanks to this site!

I too had thought about going into trucking. I have driven professionally before (limos, cabs)but didn't know if this was a good lifestyle fit. After reading a lot of info on this site (very well done - hope it stays active) I have come to realize it is not for me.

While I could handle the stress, the away time from family and friends, it comes down to the money. It doesn't sound like drivers get paid vey well - at least as a new driver. I am not sure poor pay would be out weighed by the benefits for me.

hats off to those who do decide to drive over the road.
