by Pamela Burns
(Texarkana, TX)
From 1991 to 2002 I drove team as a company driver (Schneider National, Werner, MS Carriers, among others) and for a short period of time as an owner/operator (Schneider National and Landstar Ranger).
I've most recently driven an end-dump dump truck locally for 5 months this year but had to give it up due to no a/c during the summer months and old, unsafe trucks. I had absolutely no problem with shifting or operating the trucks I was put in to operate. It was just like riding a bicycle. It came right back to me!
I live in Texarkana, TX and would like to find something where I am home most weekends and possibly during the week. I would really like something that is dedicated or semi-dedicated. I prefer not to drive in Canada, the NE, or NW. I also have a small rat terrier dog that I cannot leave home without. He is 10 years old and is very well behaved, house-broken and super friendly and clean.
I've pulled 53 ft. reefer and dry vans, but prefer dry vans. I still have my CDL-A with doubles and tankers endorsement although I've never pulled either but would be willing to learn.
I am a very good, conscientious, safe and dedicated driver. I've never had any accidents although I did get one speeding ticket during my 11 years of driving. I've never had a problem passing a physical or drug test.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Sincerely,
Pam
