Seasoned Birmingham Truck Driver Ready for the Road Again

Tried & True Trucker Wants to Get Back On The Road.

My Name is Von Merritt.

I have 3 and 1/2 years experience driving OTR, Regional, and Local and have pulled Flatbed, Van, Dry Bulk and Reefer Trailers.

I have been off the road for almost 3 years after coming off the road to care for my mother who had a stroke in 2009. We have just placed her in a Nursing Home since we can no longer care for her at the house.

I would like to get back on the road but am having trouble meeting the "recent" experience requirement.

I have a clean MVR, no accidents, DUIs or suspensions and no felonies or misdemeanors. I have a second-to-none work ethic and all I need is someone who is willing to give me a shot.
