Ready Trucking, Petersburg,Va./ felony friendly

by Matt Wise
(Stafford,Va.)

For the short time I worked for them, I can not accurately make a good assessment for rating them. I feel like and was told by my trainer( I was the trainee)that there was some conflict between the Georgia terminal and the Petersburg, Va. one.

Just here say. This seemed to be reflected when myself and another driver broke down on the highway,( we were from the Va. terminal)it was difficult receiving help and we were poorly assisted. They did seem to have friendly personnel and paid training with room and board during orientation.

I decided that the over the road experience or lifestyle was not for me. They didn't turn me off or anything, I just wanted to be out of my truck at the end of the day and sleeping at home in my bed at night.

Thats when I decided to drive dump trucks and from my experience, they are not so worried about your criminal record , more about your driving record, just stay in the positive. THANKS

Not a bad company as Drivers say. NEW
by: Swinger,C

I have work for Ready on their Lease Program and its not that bad. If you run you will get miles and when its slow you get miles. I work their 2 years with no problems, my guess is the drivers that are complaining are either unsafe, or turning down loads Mike and Tina really don't bother divers unless you are in violations. My policy has always been "Be seen and not heard" other words make your money and go home. Now why did i leave, its simple i got bored with hauling a van box and transition into tankers. This is my biggest regret! I miss the money at Ready and planning for rehire very soon. If you don't mind running and like chasing that $$$$ come to Ready.

Disgusted NEW
by: Dick

This company is the worse to work for. Tina Benson at the Petersburg terminal is coniving, rude, nasty and has the she is God attitude. She talks to people like they are beneath her and no matter what you say, she has a smart comment. Mike Barrentine in Georgia is no better. He is hot tempered and will curse you but if you say something back or walk into the terminal, he will run and hide like a coward. Speaking of cowards, Andy (owner) is the biggest of the all, he hides behind his escape goats Mike and Tina.

This is the rudest and worse company to work for. They will put stuff on your DAC report that is wrong and then won't remove it.

If you are thinking about applying, don't do it. It is a waste of your time and could hurt your record.

Ready Trucking 2012 NEW
by: Anonymous

For Ready Trucking to still be in business really speaks for itself. During the last eight years the economy has fallen and many businesses have gone out of business but Ready Trucking was able to make it through.

Ready Trucking knows what it takes to operate a business and stay strong. Knowing that I am working for a company that shows stability makes me feel I have security.

All of these things makes it worth coming to work for. I am doing my best to help Ready Trucking continue to grow while they are doing the same for me.

Ready Trucking has got your back and who could ask for anything better?

One of the Best Trucking Company's NEW
by: Todd Phillips

Ready Trucking Inc, is a very good respectful company and I would like all that are interested driving Semi's should inquire at our Petersburg, Virginia Terminal at 350 Industrial Drive Petersburg, Virginia.

When I learned about Ready Trucking, I was employed by UPS Freight and Ready Trucking was supplying trucks for the Peak Christmas Holiday Project.

Ready's driver's were some of the best customer service providers that I worked with. True Professionals. Reason, I am saying this is not because I work for the organization but they supplied our needs.

During the Peak Season , we do Check Calls to check on loads constantly and the reason we do this is because the company do not require there drivers to call in report that they dropped off loads or picked up loads.

Ready Trucking does, eventhough the trucks and trailers are tracked the operators still call in. They made our jobs that much easier at UPS Freight because they called. That impressed me about the company because they have high standards and I wanted to be a part of it.

Class action lawsuit against HireRight.com
by: Charles

Every trucker across America that has ever worked for a hostile, dishonest or crooked trucking company needs to go to HireRight.com and request a copy of your DAC Report. It will come in the mail in a few weeks. It will have information about you that they make available to trucking companies all over America. Accident / Incidents will be shown but other LIES will also be posted about you by these crooked companies that want to strike back at you for what ever reason so they can destroy your trucking career. There are thousands of truck drivers across America that are joining together in a Class Action Lawsuit against HireRight.com because what HireRight.com is doing is un-Constitutional and criminal. Find out what lies they have about you and join in the battle.

Not a good company for new drivers
by: Charles

Many of the dive places up north that Ready Trucking sends loads to are loading docks that were never meant for anything but a B Class truck not any where close to accommodating a 53 foot trailer. The other gripe I had was forced illegal driving over hours. Most of the dispatchers in Ellenwood, GA were friendly and helpful but the ones in Petersburg, VA I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Once you tell them you refuse to take a load when you have no time left to move it you are on their list to be terminated. Upon my termination they put an accident on my record that never happened. I pointed it out and Dave said he would investigate it and remove it. Instead he added another accident that never happened and both are on my DAC Report at HireRight.com and I haven't been able to get another job.
