Promises made but yet to be fulfilled

I am really sad. My trucker boyfriend told me he was going to find a job where he is home on weekends and that has yet to happen. His company told him they would find something to bring him home on the weekends again this is not happening.

We both have good jobs with good incomes. Neither of us have degrees so if either of us quit our job we won't be able to find one making the same money.

When he is home, I'm at work so we see each other maybe 4-6 hours per week.

I love him with all my heart and he is very good to me when we see each other, I just don't know if I can continue on with this type of relationship. It will break my heart to leave but I am weighing my options right now.

Any guidance you can offer?

Trucking OTR is very difficult for families!! Keep searching craigslist etc for local jobs. Depending on his experience, possibly ups, fedex, coke, budweiser ? Local dumptruck companies? Sorry to hear this, but its very common that people think it will work but eventually it becomes a problem, however if you two are good together no job or lack of a job should split you up. In trucking the grass isnt always greener on the other side. Good luck.
