Sometimes, people make mistakes but they should not have to pay for those mistakes for the rest of their lives. PLEASE PASS THIS BILL. It would allow those individuals who have made an effort to betterthemselves and improve their lives with the past having such a negative effect. I am personally going through this situation and it's very unfair because my arrest aand conviction came as a result of someone else's action and I had to pay for it. I am a single -parent. I have paid my debt to society for someone's else action and my record should reflect this. I have the right to be able to support myself and my son.

I would have love to sign and gotten more people to sign.I am facing the same problem.I can't support my family, am a single mom whom is sleeping on the floor, of someone else home with my family, its hard when I was just in the wrong place with the wrong person. Lack of judgment of people am still being punished for this crime.

It has been 13 years since I got my Felony, which they told me it should not even been a Felony but that's beside the point. I payed my dues, did my time and now My Life is on track where it needs to be. I got my Pardon and all my rights back in 2011 and I Thank GOD everyday for that. I went and got my GED in 2012 and I walked and Graduated on May 7th 2013 and that has been a huge accomplishment in my life. The Greatest accomplishment I have gotten was in March of 2007, that's when I got Saved and GOD has really done a work in my life. I am an Usher at our home Church and I have had the opportunity to speak to several younger boys and let them know exactly what I went through and try to help them stay out of trouble. I really Believe GOD can work this out and this Expungement will pass for the State of Alabama because THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!!! This is not only for me, but everyone who has changed their lives around for the better. So, please let us have a second chance at life. Thank You and BE BLESSED!!!!

Alabama Expungements NEW

Why is it impossible for the Senate and House of that Alabama State Legislature to passed this simple Bill into law. It will help people not hurt them. Oh I get it now, they get paid to keep criminals coming back. While some states help their people, Alabama state legislature are haters. Someone who wantgs to changed their lifestyle and get a fresh start on a new life can not do that in Alabama unless they do it without an expungement, which means no descent careers. Why wouldn't the Govenor pass this Bill to help his state and the people trying to get a "second chance". Its sad because everyone has made a mistake at some point in their life. So the answer is this, it is just to keep the jail door open and revolving.
