New Class A driver with a recent felony seeking OTR spot.

Hello all, let me start off by introducing myself. My name is James and I live in Florida. I unfortunately made a huge mistake, something completely out of character for myself.

July 2014 I was charge with sales and possession of prescription medications. This was the first time I have ever put myself in such a situation that changed my life completely. I lost so much due to my poor judgment and now I am doing whatever it takes to show everyone that what I have done was a classic example of peer pressure and poor decision making.

I come from a 20 year career in the EMS and Fire service. I started my career early and was set to retire and pass down my career to my beautiful daughter. But what I decided to do was by far the worst thing I have ever done in my life.

Right now I am fighting forward to prove to myself and my daughter that you can never give up on what you want in life. I am currently having a very hard time finding any company willing to give me that chance so I can show them that I am completely different than what is on paper.

I had a few chances but right before the start date something comes up and they couldn't hire me. I guess I am just asking everyone that may read this for some advice.

I am no stranger to driving large vehicles, fire engines, ladder trucks, tankers, heavy rescues and so on. Now since all these vehicles were emergency apparatus the DOT did not require a CDL. So if anyone knows who would give me an opportunity could you please contact me at jcomer99@gmail.com.

I want to thank you all in advance for your help. God bless all of you and stay safe.

James C.

Your felony was almost 3 years ago, so you should be ok.
Try Carolina Logistics. They have their own cdl school and sometimes give drivers a 2nd chance.
Keep us posted on here with your progress.
