After driving a truck for just 2 years under my own authority, I quit the trucking business for family reasons. (My wife got seriously sick and I had to stay close to home for my 3 young kids). I have been working in retail management and office jobs for the last 12 years.
Now my kids are grown up, and I would very much like to go back to driving a truck but, since my wife never recovered, I rather stay local. My CDL-A license with air breaks, double/triple and tanker endorsements, and my dot Medical card are all current.
I am a good driver and also good at everything that I do by choice. I am very confident that given the opportunity, in a week or less, I will be as good as the day I left, if not better.
I will really appreciate any help, advice or guidance to how I can proceed. I would not mind going over the road for the first month or two, if that is what it takes to get me back in business.
I thank you kindly, and may God bless you all.
