My husband is a nationwide driver and does not want to get a local driver job is he cheating

My hubby is truck driver drives 48 states and we have 2 young kids 3/4 y.o and is very difficult for me to do everything on my own but he refuses to get a local job as a driver his like not changing his mind is he cheating

I been with my husband of 25 yrs he is an owner operator he has been driving for our entire marraige. I am sure that this thought has crossed everyone's mind at some point. However my take on this statement is don't drive yourself insane worring about this.

There is temptation all around, from the corner gorcery store down the street from your house to the gas station. To "claify" Truck drivers don't have to leave the state to cheat. I am NOT a naive person but the reality of this; Is if someone is going to cheat, there is nothing you can do stop it.

If your marriage is strong enough you might not be thinking like this. You have to trust and believe in your spouse. Without trust it makes it difficult to be in a successful relationship or marriage.

Unless you have have real proof that's somethings not adding up. Don't go digging for some thing that isn't there. No driver or spouse wants that garbage running through their head when they are apart.

Trust and Believe me their job isn't easy, nor is our job to hold it together at home raising kids,working etc. My husband has always chased that dollar. He has run local and regional and long haul and the money is a big factor. He has four more yrs and we will be retired at 55 but if he ran local that wouldn't be possiable. He has always provided a great life for my family.

Do you use Skype or Facetime? Does he call home to talk to you and your kids? Though it's "old school", how about him sending home postcards of where he's been for the kids to see and, hopefully, treasure.

You are a family of 4 meaning you need the money.most local driving jobs don't pay much at all.Maybe he could find a job that will have him home weekly.I do agree with the other comments.there is a trust issue here.That's the main problem.Good luck to you both.Think positive.Don't go looking for something that may not be there.

The hardest part of being a driver is holding a relationship while driving across the country. I am not certain if he is cheating because I have known loyal men who drove OTR until their death bed for the money. One thing is for sure and that is you guys have trust issues. Keep working on him. He may eventually come around.
