My name is Mandi and I live in Michigan. I have been with my boyfriend for almost two years now. He is an OTR O/O (over the road, owner operator) truck driver.

Being with someone who is not always around has definitely presented itself with its fair share of difficulties, but I am constantly trying and finding ways to make it work. Because I know I am worth it, he is worth it and the relationship is worth it. :)

The significant others in the lives of company drivers really don't understand what it's like to be with someone who has to constantly fix things and be responsible for so much. That life is really stressful. The money is really good, but if my boyfriend didn't have to do it, he wouldn't be. We've been together three years in February and he has been driving OTR for almost a year. It really does get much easier when a pattern comes out of the madness. What it all boils down to is that if you love him and are truly happy together, you can't let the little things get in the way.
