James Privett TRUCKER WITH A PROBLEM

I have had my cdl since 1992 i was owner operator for 10 years! flatbed and heavy haul I have also been heavy equipment operator off and on since I was in my early 20s (I am 55 responsible & married)I would be excellent @ heavy haul but the company I worked with last did not report the mileage to DAC so I do not have the (recent verifiable experience).

I am a Excellent driver with TWIC haz-mat tanker and doubles and can drive them all very well I just need a chance not a driving school!! some body HELP

Don't waste your time or money going to any old truck driving school. Don't waste your time making business cards etc. For all you recent grads of trucking school shame on you for thinking you are ready for the road because your not. They don't let kids out of med school preform surgery without 1 yr internship and 3 yrs residency. This applies to Beauty school etc, you don't know enough and it's not enough experience. And I know why you can get a job, because insurance companies know that and don't want the risk and won't allow anyone without experience. I know this because I have been there, I went to school and have been OTR for one year now, I have to admit school is a rip off they dont teach enough, example: they didn't teach how to drop and hook, how to slide 5th wheel or tandems, bridge laws, log books, snow, ice, pulling mountain grades. The only way is to go thru a trucking companies school and stay on with them for 2 years Exp.
