In need of a second chance.

by Ron
(N.Las Vegas NV USA)

I obtained my commercial drivers license back in 2012 with all endorsements including hazmat. I have no criminal history, felonies, misdemeanors, or speeding tickets and accidents.

In early 2013 i applied for a trucking company and arrived at the orientation. On the 2nd or 3rd day i realized that the company wasn't for me and left to not return. On the 1st or 2nd day I had to take a drug test. About the end of the week the doctor called and said i had thc in my system and i popped. Since I was a prehire with the company it left a mark.

I never drove for this company or was given an employee number because I left in the middle of orientation. Since then I went to go drive locally for a farm. But I want to get on the road and continue with my career, I still have all endorsements on my license just made that one mistake. I have been clean every since that mistake.

I am a hard worker and quick learner, and a U.S. Veteran that made a mistake and owned up to it. All I am looking for is a second chance and a company that I can grow with.

Let me know if you can help me. Please email me at apb706@gmail.com.

Try not to let other people drag you down to their level. Even if the comment is true in the trucking work force there are plenty of jobs out there for x-felons who really want to work. I have a very long rap sheet and I always land a job even while on parole.

I am a retired x-felon now (lol) and I still have a good job. I think your statistics are a bit off but just the same there are jobs out there for the serious minded. They may not be that dream job but heck we lose the thought of having that dream job when we make the choice to commit crimes. just keeping it real. you will find some job that makes you happy and if not well you will be able to eat right?

Really?

To whoever said "YOUR DONE" I bet you'd change your tune if you had made mistakes in your life you twat. You should understand that their is a great multitude of people who've made mistakes and genuinely changed their lives, desiring to be good, outstanding citizens.

Then they come to find out 98% of employers won't give them the time of day. It's a tragedy to see MILLIONS of people struggling and poor because of how mercilessly unforgiving society is.
