When I first started I had a feeling of being a little girl in a man's world. Not because anyone treated me that way, but because I lacked the confidence I needed to be there.

I made it. I passed my cdl exam and did as well as most of the guys and better than some. Since I have been in, I have noticed a HUGE Advantage to being a female trucker... men open doors for me, or let me cut in line... like the article said be aware of intent.

I get hit on right and left and to a degree it feels disrespectful but man the confidence boost. It's really not bad being a female trucker unless you are over the road and have to pee!
