Lunch for 2 weeks on the road could cost less than 50 dollars with a little planning

It's no better time to try and save as much as possible over the road. This is what I got at Wal-mart the other day, with the exception of about 10 more dollars it will cover me or 2 weeks.

Total of about $50 dollars. I use the slim fast for milk for my cereal. Not to loose weight, read the ingredients, it has the vitamins and mineral needed and each can is just the right amount for a bowl of cereal and it doesn't require a refrigerator (which I don't even carry)

In fact the slim fast and cereal is the thing that stretches the money the most. That's about 15 meals by itself for less than 15 dollars total.

Mandarin is like tangerine slices in case you don't know.

Kidney Beans

24 pack of Water

Cereal (by the way the cereal i use is Fiber One. It has 57% of the US RDA for fiber. Highest I've seen.)

Slim Fast for milk it think it was 12 cans for $10

LOL Jimmy what you talking about man, I am excited right now thinking about BEANS.

Onespeed, Man after a while either your body or your nose will stop reacting to the beans. Cracking the window ruins the prolongs the process!

You must endure the probationary period of extra scents and sounds!

Cost of food on the road

I always budget $12.00 daily for food. Sometimes I went over and sometimes I stayed under. I figured about $300 monthly. I did keep can goods in the truck with non-perishable crackers and various munchies along with gallon jugs of water. These items were purchased at home BEFORE I rolled out. Much cheaper of course.

I'll say this. I could afford to spend $300 monthly on food. The lifestyle of a trucker isn't all that great. In fact, I considerd it somewhat boring after many years. So looking forward to the buffet after I shut down was the highlite of the day. Looking forward to a can of beans was not my idea of excitement.

This is just my likes. But if you have to scrimp on food just to make ends meet, it doesn't say much for our industry. I commend Hervy for being able to eat cheap, but Dude, thats boring! Jimmy

What you doing with all them beans? Got to be adding some sound effects to the road music,probably just blends right in almost unnoticed, hey man keep the windows cracked just a little and keep on trucking.
