He has been away for almost 2 weeks now and I don't really miss him.

This is the first time my husband has gone away for a long period of time, he is going to be gone anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months.


At this point I don't miss him. I feel really bad about it and am second guessing my relationship because I am not missing him.

We have a 4 year daughter who i am taking care of on my own and my routine without him here is just so much easier. Has anyone else had this feeling. Why am I not missing him???

I think maybe give it some time. It is very tough out there. He is doing what he can to support you and child. Marriage is about commitment and thru the tough times is what makes us the better person.

Angela, I didn't get the sense that trust issues had anything to do with your situation, does it?

It seems like your relationship is in a better place, especially since your wanting to make sure what you feel is normal, it that right?

I think it is possible to be normal, it depends on how a person is made. For instance, a real clingy person would simply not make it with a trucker husband or both of them would always be miserable.

The other extreme or near extreme would be someone who is just fine with the separation especially with full confidence in the strength of the relationship. Does that seem to fit your situation or am I of track here?

Is there some1 else that are or have feelings or dealing with i know when my husband went out is started out for home every weekend now its got to every 2 weeks and now we have so much of no trusting and communication its like I dont care if hes here or not but it does go alot better when hes not here
