Hi, my name is Shannon, and my hubby is a long distance driver. It was a scary career change three years ago, but it's been definitely more of a blessing than we had hoped.

I'm looking forward to sharing with other trucker wives on here, because there is strength in community :)

Well my hubby started with a new company in January of this year - he works in the oil patch now. It's great because this job offers a regular schedule! Something we've never had with the long haul he did before. I find our daughters (3 and 5) manage a lot better with a schedule that they know when daddy will be home. And it's a lot less stressful for me - I can plan things, I can send enough meals to last him so expenses can be cut down (plus healthier eating for him). I'm so thankful!

Anyone else out there with a regular schedule?
