Experienced truck driver

by Richard Jones
(Edmond, Oklahoma)

I am a retired Police Lieutenant with over 30 years in Law Enforcement. I have driven semi-trailer trucks since I was 21 with all types of engines and transmissions. I currently work part time for a local company driving a 2010 Peterbilt 388 with a 425 Caterpillar engine and a 13 speed transmission pulling (one of the three types of trailers) a tanker, 38 ft. end-dump or a 42 ft. equipment trailer. I have hauled about everything except explosive ordinance or Propane in my driving career.

I have hauled heavy equipment on multi-axle lowboy trailers, grain hopper trailers, 53' vans and reefers, cattle pot's and cattle straight floor trailers, drop-decks, flatbeds, end-dumps, and tankers including 5 compartment gasoline-diesel tankers and pneumatics.

I have all endorsements on my CDL including Hazard Material and Tanker. I have zero points on my license and Zero accidents. My D.O.T. Physical was renewed in April, 2014 and current for next two years. My CDL is also current for next two years. I have a pass port that is also current.

I would like to run over-the-road about one trip per month for a Owner-Operator. I prefer cattle hauling or drop and hook loads, but will consider other driving jobs. I will run solo or with a co-driver if he is a non-smoker, keeps himself neat, clean, practices good personal hygiene, good manners and is a good safe driver.

I prefer to run West or North West runs, I do not want any New York or East coast runs or any runs with long layovers. If I have a layover I expect to be paid for my time and per diem including loading and unloading time.

I will not operate any unsafe equipment, or violate any traffic, D.O.T. or any other laws. All equipment must be late model and clean inside and outside and meet all D.O.T. requirements. I like Pre-Pass for scales and Pike Pass where applicable. I must have a authorized company credit card to pay for all truck and trailer equipment expenses and purchases such as fuel, tires, permits, including expense money for toll roads and all other legitimate expenses incurred on the road including truck and trailer washing or washout of the trailer.
I do not like to use my own credit card or cash for expenses pertaining to the truck or trailer.

I expect to be paid within 5 days after the end of the run and all reports, Bill of Ladings,Logs and paper work is completed and turned in.
