Large company perspective:

Big carriers adjust operations and pass costs along where they can.

Driver perspective:

“I’m working more and keeping less.”

Now here’s the part that doesn’t always get said…

Some drivers expanded too fast when rates were high.

Some took on expensive equipment without a backup plan.

And some weren’t ready for a downturn.

That’s not criticism—it’s just the reality of a cyclical industry.

Trucking has always had ups and downs. The difference now is how fast things change.
