Couple fighting like crazy

My boyfriend & I have been together for six years.
He recently left out for cdl school & he's been gone 2 wks now.

Since two days ago all we have done is fight.
Constantly..

About everything. :(

I don't know how to get through this or what I can do =/

I experienced the same exact thing! This went on for months. I didn't know what to think of it. but then all of a sudden it stopped? As sudden as it happened is as sudden as it left. whew.

I think, and this is only a guess is that we just gave up on the fighting and decided to start talking about things vs. getting mad. There is an in between in being upset and getting angry.

If we allow ourselves to take it to the top of anger that means we haven't taken a look at what was in between that lead us to become angry. Sometimes its miscommunication. I say one thing he doesn't understand and I don't take the time to explain what I mean and then I just expect him to know what I meant, and I am sure the same went for him.

We as humans are not mind readers!! Wow what an eye opener that was. Accepting the fact I cant read minds and no one else can either, was part of my awareness as well.

Taking the time to say things like:

Can you explain what you mean I didn't understand?

or

This is what I meant to say I didn't mean to make it sound that way.

I'm just saying that's all.

Are just some ways to clear things up. In a perfect world we would be able to always say the right things but we don't live in a perfect world!
