Boyfriend wants me to become an OTR driver...

My boyfriend of 3 years wants me to become an OTR driver so we can be a team. My only issue with that is...trucks. I am afraid to drive next to them. Even being in the truck with him and he is driving is giving me anxiety.
I have been riding with him for 6 months now and its been an emotional rollercoaster, literally.
How was your first experience driving and how did you get familiar with it?
