I am happy that I have found this site for support when I am having down days from missing my trucker BF.

We met online and have been dating for almost a year now. This has been the best relationship that both of us has had thus far (and we have both been in several bad relationships).

I have had a hard time getting used to the distance, because I DID NOT want a long distance relationship, but it seems that things are starting to mellow out for me and I am finally adjusting.

I am not going to sit here and say that I like it because I don't, but it is something that he loves doing. It probably helps that it is not summertime and I have time off due to the fact that I am a teacher, but since we have had so much more time together this summer, it is going to be a difficult adjustment period again when I head back to work in a month.

Dating a trucker requires patience, trust and determination to develop great communication skills. I have been on the truck with him for a week here and there throughout the past year, and I enjoy every minute of it.

Looking forward to the day I can join him on a more permanent basis.
