Married to a trucker for 14 years.
He's been a trucker for 10 of those years,
We have 4 children oldest 12 youngest 5.

It was hard at first and then a lot easier and suddenly hard again. I take my hat off to those that are holding up.. I do work. I am a very busy woman..SO Im not just looking at the calendar and taking care of our children. Its just a lot!!

Especially when you cant reach him and the response is, “I was in the desert for 8 hours”....i smell a rat,, i will remain faithful..because im that kind of woman..but i will not continue to hide behind the "oh well he's working syndrome" lol.. But i will pray and check out the scene...A Little more.. Otherwise hey to the newbies...

BE Down and supportive to your hubby, but keep eyes opened... Its a lot of nasty diseases out there..AND Some men get weak.. Lets just pray it isn’t ours.. And no not only truckers,, all men..

But lets face it truckers have a ready made bed along with a different scenery many days of the week,,,and nasty women all all around.

So hey if you don't have a job or gig to do..TAKE Up a trade or training when you can..JUST In case..YOUR Special trucker of a husband or boyfriend turns out to be a weak little boy that can't wait for his wife.. To ease the stress Skype is great!!! And yes it helps to be real!!! Some of our men ain’t gonna wait for his wife.. And if it turns out that your wonderful hubby is this great a loyal man wonderful..

You will still be more skilled and trained in your own profession! So its a win win!!! Don t worry never worry,,just don’t be a fool God will give you the spirit of discernment no not holier than thou..BUT I do have faith in God...

To all my sister trucker wives..KEEP Eyes opened.. Don’t throw away your life... Waiting while hes on the road,,get a plan to help him and more importantly to help yourself if he turns from Dr Jekyll to Mr Hyde njoy your life.!!!

YES NOW YOU ARE CORRECT .. I ACTUALLY MADE HIM TAKE ME TO A LOCATION WHERE HE CLAIMED HE WAS, AND YES!! BELIEVE IT DURING THE UNLOADING PART OF IT ALL.6HOURS.... I HAD NO PHONE SERVICE.!!! WELL. I COULDNT CALLL MY CHILDREN NOR MY STAFF TO LET THEM KNOW i'D BE LATE :) SO wow THAT WAS A CLOSE 1..EITHER THAT.. OR HE BEAT ME AT HIS GAME/:0 I DONT KNOW.. I TRUST MY HUBBY BUT.. WELL.. I JUST KNEW HE WAS LYING..
I HAVE MET A FEW LADIES THAT HAVE BUSTED THEIR HUBBYS OUT DOING THE WORST.. SO i GUESS I WAS GETTING IN A SITUATION WHERE I THOUGHT MAYBE MY HUBBY IS JUST A LITTLE SMOOTHER.. BUT I MUST SAY.. ITS BEEN A LOONG TIME BEING A TRUCKER'S WIFE..AND I HAVE NOT EVER EXPERIENCED ANY ISSUES..WITH ANY WOMEN OR SKANKS LOL OR LOT LIZARDS... BUT AGAIN FOR THE NEWBIES.. PLEASE.. I think you are smart and insightful and probably a great wife. Sorry you are facing this issue. I do think the way you look at the big picture is good. Be supportive and keep your eyes open.

I just want to suggest counseling if you haven't already tried to introduce that.

Just let him know that you feel he is losing interest in the relationship and you would like things to improve back to how they once were.

And you are both correct no phone service I know of has dead spots for that period of time in the desert. If you are loading or unloading in a deadzone you might not have service for a prolonged period of time.

However, this is not a case of only not answering the phone 1 time. It is a case of many signs and the phone issue being just one of them. At least that is what I gathered.

So think about asking him to do couples/marriage coaching/counseling whether he does it or not it still takes awareness of the need for improvement in the relationship.

no i will never tell him to wear a rubber.. i will continue to keep my eyes opened and maybe become a no more truckers wife..lol

dead spot in the desert?

Never are there 8 hours of a dead spot in the desert! My husband has been driving for 44 years, and there's no such thing as an eight hour dead spot in the desert! He will never tell you what he did, and my guess is that you already know he was hiding something, or someone. These guys would flip if we did what they've done to us! Maike him wear a rubber! You shouldn't pay for the risks he could take with some skank!
